These terms cover everything on SA Tax Guide: the homepage overview, the ten detailed guides, the Blog listing, the eight homepage tools, and the pages in the footer. By reading this site, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not rely on this site for a tax decision.
An independent site, not SARS
SA Tax Guide is an independent information website. It is not SARS, is not affiliated with SARS, is not endorsed by SARS, and is not the official SARS website. The SARS name belongs to SARS. Nothing on this site claims official status, and no guide, tool, or page here can access your tax record, file a return, or change your SARS details. Official transactions must go through sars.gov.za and SARS eFiling.
General information only
All content here is general information, not personal tax advice, legal advice, or financial advice. Tax rules change, and your situation may differ from the general case in a guide. Always confirm current requirements on sars.gov.za, or with a registered tax practitioner, before you act on a guide. A guide that explains a process in general terms does not tell you what applies to your own return, assessment, refund, or debt.
Estimates, not official figures
Calculator results are estimates only. They are not your official SARS assessment, refund, or debt figure. The Income Tax and PAYE tools use the 2026/27 individual brackets checked on 20 October 2026 against SARS guidance, before rebates, credits, and other adjustments that apply to an individual case. The two status checkers give guidance only and do not look up your live tax status.
Accuracy and limits
Guides are written from official SARS sources first, and unverified items are left out rather than presented as fact. Even so, SARS pages, forms, and channels change, and a guide can become out of date. If a guide and an official SARS page disagree, the official page wins. This site is not liable for a decision made on an out-of-date guide, a tool estimate, or a missed deadline.
Using the content
You may read and share links to this site’s guides for personal use. Do not copy the guides, tools, or images wholesale, and do not present this site’s content as your own or as official SARS material. The site’s design, wording, and tools belong to SA Tax Guide.
If these terms change
These terms may be updated as the site grows — for example, if new guides, tools, or a connected contact form are added. The current version on this page is the one that applies.
